I would like to share the experience I have had with some of my favourite applications, that I use quite often. A lot of the information I have seen online are either out of date or are for the US only. Most of these apps are either available in Australia, New Zealand and around the World. ALL of these apps are FREE to join and use.
For the past 5 years, I have been the proud owner of an iPod Touch (1st Gen), iPhone 3Gs, iPhone 4s and an iPad Mini. I have downloaded, installed and experienced all types of applications. When I first began downloading children's applications on my iPod Touch, for my daughter. Afterwards, I began downloading apps for myself. Not long after, I bought an iPhone 3Gs. I began downloading games, while also checking out the
New & Noteworthy. When my Sony IR video camera was damaged, I began searching for apps that could somehow replace what I had lost. I had originally purchased a video camera to film my daughter's development, to send to family members overseas.
As time passed, technology was expanding further than most people had expected. There were many applications being released, which could do various types of things:
- Filters
- Blurr
- Zoom
- Frames
Most of those applications had the same features as the others, but all looked great on photos. Then, the app market exploded with apps from all over the world. Not only could some of these apps produce the usual features for photos, it also provided the same features for video recording.
I began wondering "there seems to be an application for everything, I wonder if there's any which can make money?" I did a search on Google "make money with apps", which produced some surprising results. I downloaded and installed almost every app that I could find. After a few weeks of trying out a few of these applications, I began doubting their descriptions. I opened my browser and began another Google search "apps that make money", which returned an even bigger result.
Only recently, have I really began to experience and understand which applications make money but you have to do something to earn it. Some apps were offering various types of rewards, in return for your completing a task. Some apps offered an advertising space where you are able to sell your photos and images, receiving a certain percentage of the sale(s). I have decided to post about the applications which actually work and helps your to earn rewards which maybe redeemed for cash and other various items.

adf.ly is formerly known as
supaf.ly, it is a URL shortening service. The shortened links can be used on any website and any social media/network sites such as: Facebook and Twitter, it can also be used within forum posts.

How do I make money?
- If you haven't already, create an account and login to your adf.ly account
- Enter a website URL in the white box and click 'Shrink'.
(E.g http://www.google.com.au)
- Copy and Paste the adf.ly link you are given, onto your website, into a forum or blog post, Facebook Status Update or a Tweet on Twitter and more. (E.g http://adf.ly/U4kby
- Every time someone clicks on your link, you will earn money.
- You are basically replacing a normal link with an adf.ly shortened link.

How it works?
Connect through Facebook or sign up with your email address to get tasks done or to earn money running tasks.
- Posting a Task is easy - you create everything you want for your task, the title, the description, the price, who you want to complete the task, how you want the task to be completed and when you want it completed by. Choose to pay via PayPal or cash. You control everything and you ONLY pay when the task is completed.
Runners interact with your task, asking questions and sometimes runners will bid with an offer. (E.g your task is $50, the runner offers to do the task for $40).
- Review bids, offers and assign - Airtaskers who want to complete your task will place bids or offers, you can then accept an offer that you think is fair to assign that runner to the task.
- Done, pay and review - Once the runner had been assigned, you'll gain access to the private messaging system for exchanging private information about the task. When the task is completed, you then pay the runner. Afterwards, you leave a review on the runner to show your appreciation for other Airtaskers to see.
Please fully read this before rushing off to download this app, it is not associated or partnered with Facebook but uses their accounts to complete actions, this also includes Friend Invites.
App Trailerswas created in 2022 by app developers who wanted to go beyond app screen shots to show off the best parts of their mobile apps. They have since added award-winning video producers to their team, who will create and customize an App Trailer just for an advertiser if they don't have one - gaining more location-based advertising for themselves also. Available for download on Android and iOS
For Members:
The app has limited possibilities: There are many things which can stop you from earning points, but have not been explained to members. These are key points that SHOULD have been mentioned in the developer's description.
- You MUST register/sign up using your Facebook account, or you will NOT be able to benefit from what the app can do and will NOT be able to gain points. If you have signed up using your email address, cash out NOW and start again by using your Facebook account.
- On the right side of each task, advertises the points. E.g +5 or 5+. These points MUST be inside of a yellow box/button, to receive these points. If the points are inside of a grey or blue box/button, the tasks has already been completed and you will NOT gain any points for doing it.
- Add, Tips: This option is usually found within the Application section, after you have watched the video, downloaded and used the app - then you can use this option to leave a brief description of your experience. Other members open your tip to read it, at the bottom right-side of the app is an area where you are able to select 'Useful'. If a member selects your tip as useful, you receive 5 points.
Overview: The app is location-based. All advertisements, features and promotions depend on the country you are in at the time.
Apps: Members are able to watch videos about certain applications, they can then download them and afterwards, add their own comment about it to the AppTrailers application.
Videos: You are able to watch videos uploaded by other members, where you will receive +5 points for doing so. You can 'Like' the video and share points via sharing options, but this does not add points to your own score. You can upload videos for other members to view, they receive points for selecting watching and so do you. You don't receive points for uploading videos, but you will receive 5 points when members like and share your video.
Features and Promotions: As previously explained, these are limited due to location-based companies and services.
Rewards: You can redeem all of your credits by swapping them for cash on PayPal or Giftcards for Amazon, Starbucks, Best Buy, League of Leagues, Xbox Live/Microsoft Points, Facebook Credit, Zynga, Playstation, Google Play, Guild Wars 2' Wii, Steam, EA Game Card and more.
Downfall: Once you have watched all of the applications videos, member uploaded videos and trailers, there aren't too many more videos to watch. Luckily, members upload 30 or more videos a day.
Conjoined with JunoWallet, (iOS) JunoWallet+TV and JunoWallet5 (formerly JunoWallet HTML5), BambooWallet is a community of people from around the world, wanting to earn a little extra on the side from completing certain tasks and earning rewards. Members watch videos, complete surveys, download applications and other various tasks. In return, they are rewarded credits which can be redeemed for Amazon Gift cards, iTunes Gift Cards, Playstation Network Cards, XBox Live Microsoft Points, Nintendo 3DS Prepaid Cards, Facebook Gift Cards, Kogan and Steam Wallet. These are the Top Ten Applications that I have made money on, there will be some more to add soon - as their companies are developing applications to make it more accessible for the application user. I have also posted about these applications, as I have earned anywhere between $1.00 to $44.00
I wanted to share these apps with everyone because they are making money for some people, they may do the same for you. I am not endorsing them in any way, I'm just posting what I feel has made a decent amount of money within the first 6 months. Hopefully, you may do better. I only did some of these tasks when I found the time, being a mother of a young child takes a lot of my time - so, it's definitely great to earn some extra cash on the side. Not only that, I wanted to get paid for doing things that I usually do - shopping, etc. I hope this post helps, as there are many outdated articles available.
